Photograph of the Week #196 – Stormy Weather
There is a change in the weather this week. So this week, we’re looking for photographs in less than ideal conditions. Think pictures of actual storms or how different weather conditions can change the mood of a photograph. Clouds can diffuse the sun for more even lighting. The sun can poke through the clouds to create a spotlight effect. Rain can create opportunities for reflections. Fog can reduce contrast creating a completely different atmosphere. Shadows can isolate a subject allowing for a different means of framing an object. Explore the interesting visual layers added to a scene just because of bad weather.
Post your pictures on the club Facebook page by next Sunday, October 5th, and as always have fun.
In case you are new to this challenge here is some information:
What is it?
Photograph of the Week (POW) is a weekly challenge to get your creativity flowing and your shutters clicking.
How does it work?
Each Sunday, I will send you a topic and you will take a photograph of something that interprets that topic for you and post it on our Facebook page during that week. It can be a literal interpretation or something more abstract. How you go about doing this is totally up to you, you can head outside or stay home, there are no rules. The one thing I do ask is that the picture(s) you post is either taken or edited in that week, remember this is meant to keep your creative juices flowing.
