The studio lighting SIG will give you a chance to practice using studio lights with the club’s lighting system. Each session will follow the format of demonstration, questions and practice.

Outline for the SIG:

• Studio lighting set up
  • How to set up light stands, lights and backdrop
  • How to operate the flash units
  • how to operate the remote controls
• Studio lighting basics
  • Review of session one
  • Name and reason for each light
  • Basic portrait lighting set up
• Studio lighting enhanced
  • Hard and soft lighting
  • Use of flash to freeze motion
  • Various Portrait Lighting techniques
