Print Challenge – Literature in Print & Then and Now – Due Date & Show
March 21 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
This is the final print event of the season, print your prints to the show to be displayed during the meeting.
The themes are:
Literature in Print – Submit images based on a poem, a story, a line from a story, or a song, or a line from a song. The goal is to capture the essence of that poem, story, line.
Then and Now – Find some old pictures of our town or your home town in the local historical archives, library, or an image from the internet or find some old pictures of yours. See if you can find roads, buildings, or other structures that still exist today. Or see if you can capture the spirit of the place today just as the old photo captured the spirit of the place ‘back then’.
Please do not frame or use glass/acrylic for these photographs. Instead, they should be backed with core board or cardboard. Images should be at least 8” x 10” and no more than 16” x 20”. These measurements include the matte if you are matting your image. For hanging, please use wire or any other device on the back, otherwise we have self adhesive hangers that you will use (if you don’t mind having something stuck to the back of your print).
