Outing – Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary – Delta – RSVP REQUIRED

This outing will take us on a road trip to the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary in Delta.
The sanctuary consists of nearly 300 hectares of managed wetlands, natural marshes and low dykes in the heart of the Fraser River Estuary. For the millions of birds seeking feeding and resting areas during their annual migrations along the Pacific Coast, the sanctuary is ideally location. During this visit you will have the chance of seeing and photographing birds such as various species of geese, swans and ducks, for a full list see the Birds of the Sanctuary page of the Reifel website.
We will take the Duke Point ferry to Tsawwassen where a van will pick us up to take us the sanctuary. Due to the size of the van this outing is limited to 11 people.
Please RSVP as soon as possible using the on-line RSVP form.
We are asking a prepayment of $40 which will cover the cost of the van, all other costs such as entrance fee, parking, ferries and food will be paid by the individuals. Payment should be e-transfered to Rooney at [email protected] no later than March 5. If you need a ride to Duke Point Ferry terminal please let Rooney know and she will see what she can arrange.
We will catch the 7:45AM ferry from Duke Point and return on the 3:15PM ferry from Tsawwassen.
