Outing – Gabriola Island with Brad Powell – RSVP Required

This outing will takes us to beautiful Gabriola Island where we will be met by Brad Powell and head out for Drumbeg Park for a sunrise shoot. Brad will then take us to few of his favourite spots to photograph landscapes.
Gabriola Island is one of the Gulf Island about 5 kilometres east of Nanaimo, and can be accessed by ferry from the terminal on Front St, in Nanaimo. It consists of dense forests of evergreen trees, towering sandstone bluffs, abundant wildlife, and an iconic West Coast shoreline.
Drumbeg Provincial Park, is one of the three provincial parks on Gabriola overlooking scenic Gabriola Passage on the east end of the Island and offers excellent views of the Strait of Georgia and the Coast Mountains of the Mainland.
We will meet at the Gabriola Ferry terminal on Front St, to catch the 6:55AM ferry and this outing will be about 4 hours. Ferry fare are $10.58 for a foot passenger and $36.50 for a vehicle so car pooling is advisable.
