Cole Thompson fell in love with photography at age 14 while reading George Eastman’s biography. He explains, “Before I had finished the book, before I had taken a photograph or had seen a print come up in the darkroom, I knew that I was destined to be a photographer.” Photography was Cole’s focus in life for the next 10 years. However, he decided against pursing photography as a career because he feared that he’d lose his passion for it. Instead, he earned a degree and went into business so that photography could remain a passion and not a profession. Now a retired empty-nester, photography has a more prominent place in his life. Cole lives with his wife Dyan, on a ranch in Northern Colorado. Find out more about Cole’s work at www.colethompsonphotography.com
