Club Meeting – Beban Park – The Joy of Light Painting with Sue
February 18 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
This meeting will start with a short presentation from a representative of from Leadership Vancouver Island talking about “Capture Connections”. This is a project to connect volunteer photographers with not-for-profit organisations and event holders in a mutually beneficial way. The photographers would volunteer their talents to meaningful causes and gain experience and exposure, as well as being able to network and promote themselves.
In the second portion of this meeting we will be exploring light painting with still life subjects. As many of you know light painting in photography includes both painting a picture with lights and painting a subject, the one we will be looking at and practicing this evening is painting the subject with light. By photographing an object at a low shutter speed and painting it with light you can get totally different effect than using flash or taking the picture in daylight and this is what we will be exploring.
The program will consist of a presentation and a demonstration of how it is done and editing process.
