A Day in the Life of Nanaimo
September 30
This is a joint project with the Nanaimo Bulletin where we chronicle A Day in the Life of Nanaimo, which is then published as a supplement in the Nanaimo Bulletin.
Members are asked to photograph an area or activity in Nanaimo covering the full day of September 30th, starting at 12:00AM and finishing at 11:59PM. This year we have divided the time slots into two hour segments. If you are interested in participating during a specific time slot please email [email protected]. The time slots will be every two hours starting at 12:00AM. I do recommend that you team up with someone if you are taking one of the early morning or late night slots, if you want to know who is also signed up for this time let me know.
If you can not commit to a specific time but want to participate you are welcome to, have your camera ready and keep your eyes open for interesting photo ops!
All areas or communities that receive the Nanaimo Bulletin will be acceptable, this includes, Cedar, Cassidy, Yellow Point, Gabriola Island, Lantzville and Nanoose Bay.
All images are to be submitted to me at [email protected] by Wednesday, Oct , to be submitted to the Bulletin by Friday, Oct 6, for publication on Wednesday, Oct 11th. Although I will submit all images submitted to me, the final decision about the published images will be the paper’s editorial staff.
This is the third year we have done this and the public response we have received has been very positive, all of the images submitted to the Bulletin in Oct 2022 can be viewed on our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4y9wNiqDcW0
